My father was not lucky enough to finish college. He come from a poor family (until now poor parin kami. jeje) with parents who have chosen to be practical or in other words, has stopped dreaming bigger things for their children. Back to the time when I was yet in high school, I remember how I was burdened by carrying that backpack full of books and notebooks. I hate to forget even 1 book bcoz I'm always shy to ask favor from my classmate to share his book. We don't have library that time, no computers, no internet. All we have were those books provided to us by the Government.

I like the part when the President said, "Kung magkasakit ka at makita mo ang nars na nag-aruga sa iyo, sa halip na magserbisyo sa dayuhan kapalit ng mas malaking suweldo, sabihin mo, “Salamat po.”
In the case of the alumni, our teachers deserved that "THANK YOU" "SALAMAT PO" because in stead of going abroad, they have opted to be here and impart their knowledge to all of us.
